Draft Employees' State Insurance (Central) Amendment Rules, 2020

The Ministry of Labour and Employment on May 20, 2020 has published the draft Employees' State Insurance (Central) Amendment Rules, 2020 to further amend the Employees' State Insurance (Central) Rules, 1950. The definition of “State Medical Officer” in Rule 2(8) has been substituted, which means a duly registered medical practitioner including a medical officer appointed as such by the Corporation.

Any persons likely to be affected thereby may forward objection or suggestion within 30 days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. The objections and suggestions, if any, may be addressed to Shri. Madan Chaurasia, Under Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Shram Shakti Bhawan, Rafi Marg, New Delhi-110001.

These Rules shall come into force on the date of their final publication in the Official Gazette.
