Pathankot District issues new guidelines for restaurants

The Pathankot District Magistrate on May 13, 2020 issues guidelines which is to be followed by hotels, restaurants, dhabhas and eateries under the extension of the lockdown period till May 17, 2020.

It is required by all the individual to maintain strict hygiene at their workplaces and face masks are mandatory for everyone. The employees must maintain social distancing and shall wash and sanitize their hands at regular intervals. These guidelines are applicable for the food industry, however no restaurants and dhabas shall be working in the containment areas and red zones. The employee temperature is to be recorded every day and its mandatory for the eateries to operate from 7 am to 7 pm.

For all the food delivery options, proper packaging is to be done of the food items and the transport is to be sanitized. All the delivery workers should wear face masks and gloves and there should be no contact between the delivery guy and the customer. The daily delivery calls shall record all the details of the customers and the delivery guys must go through frequent medical check-up.

Anyone found violating the COVID-19 guidelines will be liable for strict action under the provision of Disaster Management Act, 2005 and the Indian Penal Code, 1860.
