The Andhra Pradesh Municipal Administration Department on May 13, 2020, partial modifies the order regarding opening of shops in various districts.

The revised order is as under:

 No shops will remain open in the Containment Zone

 In all other places, shops may remain open from 10 am to 5 pm only except pharmacies. Further, shops selling products like fruits, vegetables and milk may be permitted from 6 AM to 11 AM.

 No Shopping malls, market complexes or markets in rural or urban areas will be allowed. Cloth shops, Jewellery shops and shoe / chappal shops are also not permitted.

 Further, in rural area all standalone shops or colony shops or shops within residential complexes are permitted to open.

 In Urban areas, colony shops or shops within residential complexes and standalone shops are permitted to open. Where there are adjacent shops except daily essential shops, will ensure one closed shops in between two open shops.

 Shops which are permitted to open shall follow strictly rules and regulation regarding social distancing, sanitizers at the entry and exit doors, staff should wear masks and hand gloves and ensure that customers should also wear masks.
