Government of Haryana announces certain allowance considering the closure of industrial and commercial establishments under COVID-19

The State Government of Haryana on April 30, 2020, announces certain allowances in view of the difficulties faced by the Industries and commercial establishments during lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic. 

Whereas, Ministry of Home Affairs ordered the closure of offices of State Government, Central Government and other industrial and commercial establishments till May 3, 2020. This decision was taken to curb the situation prevailing due to the spread of COVID-19. 

Since the commercial and the industrial establishments having been facing issues under these regulations, the Government of Haryana decided to roll out certain allowances.

 The Government of Haryana has decided to waive of the rent for the industrial and commercial establishments including shops, start-ups, start-up incubators and the department of Information Technology for the period from March 15, 2020 to May 15, 2020.

 They have waived of 50 percent interest rate on the simple interest and has extended the deferment period for all the dues to the government authorities till May 15, 2020. 

 For all the commercial vehicles, the motor vehicle tax has been waived off for two months. 

 All the government contracts have been extended till May 3, 2020. The force majeure clause has been implemented under all the government contracts. However, this condition is not applicable to the medical and pharmaceutical department. All the emergency services and food supplies shall be excluded under this condition.
