Government of Karnataka issues revised advisory to IT or ITES and business process management sector

The State Government of Karnataka on May 13, 2020, revises Advisory to Information Technology (IT) or Information Technology Enabled Services (ITES).

Revised advisory is as under:

 Clause 1.1: Dedicated transportation facility to be arranged with social distancing, for employees commutation without any dependency on the public transport system and limiting the travel by personal vehicles. However, Employees are permitted to use personal vehicles as per the prevailing lockdown guidelines in the respective cities.

 Clause 1.3: Employees to be screened before entering the public transport / buses / vehicles with more than 4 passengers. However, employees using personal vehicles shall only be screened before entering the premises.

 Clause 2.4: Employees to sign in a common register or declaration form at the entrance declaring they are asymptomatic.

 Clause 3.1: All employees shall compulsorily wear face mask in common areas or public places or places where it is difficult to maintain physical distancing.

 Clause 5.14: A suitable Nodal Officer for COVID-19 for the organization can be nominated by the Company Head, they should coordinate the COVID-19 related activities in the workplace and designated person must liaise with health department for advice.
