Draft CERC (Terms and Conditions for Tariff determination from Renewable Energy Sources) Regulations, 2020

The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) on April 28, 2020, has issued the draft Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Terms and Conditions for Tariff determination from Renewable Energy Sources) Regulations, 2020. These Regulations shall come into force on July 01, 2020 and shall remain in force up to March 31, 2023, once it is reviewed.

The Commission proposes to specify the parameters for new Renewable Energy technologies such as Floating Solar Project, Renewable Hybrid Energy Project and Renewable Energy Project with Storage in the Draft CERC RE Tariff Regulations, 2020. However, the Renewable Hybrid Energy Project and Renewable Project with Storage have been treated separately.

The Commission invites comments, suggestion and objections from the stakeholders and interested persons on the draft Regulations, 2020. The comments or suggestions or objections may be sent at email id. [email protected] and [email protected] to the Secretary, Central Electricity Regulatory Commission, 3rd & 4th Floor, Chanderlok Building, 36, Janpath, New Delhi - 110 001. The last date for submission of the comments is May 28, 2020. The comments shall also be uploaded through SAUDAMINI Portal for registered users after login and clicking e-Regulation link on the e-filing Home Page.
