Madhya Pradesh Labour Department amends the Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Madhya Pradesh Rules, 1973

The Madhya Pradesh Labour Department on May 05, 2020, amends the rules 21(1)(2) which specifies the procedure for making application for licence, 26(2) which specifies the fees for renewal of licence and 27 which specifies the validity (Period) of license of the Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Madhya Pradesh Rules, 1973.

The amendments are as under:

 Under Rule 21:

a) In sub-rule (1), for the words “in the online from available on official portal of the Labour Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh” has been substituted instead of “in triplicate in Form No. IV”.

b) Sub-rule (3) has been omitted.

 Under Rule 26(2), the words “the fees for one calendar year” has been substituted instead of “the fees”.

 Rule 27 has been substituted, namely:

Validity of the Licence: Licence granted under rule 25 (Forms and terms and conditions of licence) of renewed under rule 29 (Renewal of Licence) shall be valid for the period of the contract for which the application is made.
