The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) on April 21, 2020 has decided to extend the effective date of implementation of the Approved Lists of Models and Manufacturers of Solar PV Modules and Solar PV Cells by six months till September 30, 2020 due to COVID-19 pandemic. The ALMM order stipulates that all Solar PV Power Projects which are Government owned or Government assisted or bid out as per Central Govt’s Standard Bidding Guidelines, shall mandatorily procurer solar PV cells and modules for such projects from the manufacturers approved and included in the ALMM Lists after effective date.

Further, MNRE is constantly looking after the agencies to procure the tenders that are equipped with the clause to procure Solar PV cells and modules from the ALMM List only. All the sectors including the banking sender, while lending for the Solar modules and Solar PV cells must strictly adhere to the guidelines provided under the order dated January 02, 2019 by MNRE.
