Government of Kerala issues measure for IT or ITeS companies operating from Government IT Parks

The State Government of Kerala on April 27, 2020, has issued measures for IT or ITeS companies or establishments operating from the buildings owned by the Government IT Parks to overcome the economic crises faced by them due to the outbreak of the pandemic COVID-19 and lockdown declared.

It is declared that the rent of the IT companies for the month of April, May and June 2020 who have taken upto 10,000 sq.ft. of IT space on rental. The rent would be paid by July, August and September 2020 respectively without penalty and surcharge. The annual rent escalation of 5% in IT or non IT office space or shops or establishments in Government owned buildings within IT parks will not be implemented during the Financial Year 2020-2021, that is the same rate card as in F.Y. 2019-2020 will hold for 2020-21 also. The surcharge rent on rental is waived across all categories for six months that is from April to September 2020.

The IT companies who have started the operation on or before March 31, 2021 at the Government IT parks may avail rent waiver for the first three months.
