Government of Kerala issues guidelines for facilitating the interstate movement of migrant labourers

The State Government of Kerala on May 02, 2020 has issued guidelines for facilitating the interstate movement of migrant labourers, students, tourists and other people for the exit from and entry to Kerala. The Ministry of Home Affairs had permitted interstate movement of persons stranded in different parts of the country owing to general lock down implemented to contain the COVID-19 disease outbreak vide Order dated April 29, 2020.

An exit and entry pass or passes shall be issued by District Collectors to those persons who seek to go outside states. The inbound movement of people stranded in other parts of India is also permitted and accordingly State Government has designated six entry points for receiving the stranded persons from other States to enter Kerala.

No deviation from the guidelines shall be entertained under any circumstances without obtaining prior clearance from the State Nodal officer, Interstate transit.
