Government of Goa permits the manufacturing and sale activities related to Distilleries, Breweries, Wineries and Country Liquoring Bottling Units

The Goa Commissioner of Excise on May 03, 2020, permits all Distilleries, Breweries, Wineries and Country Liquor Bottling Units to commence manufacturing and sale activities with effect from May 04, 2020, except in the prohibited areas and whose licenses have been kept under suspension.

The permission has been given subject to the following conditions:

 The Manufacturing units should open manufacturing activities only by following the guidelines prescribed by the Government of India and social distancing norms to be followed.

 They should provide masks or face cover to the employees in all work places, provision of thermal screening, hand sanitizer preferably with touch free mechanism will be made available at all entry and exit points and common areas.

 Hand wash facility and sanitizers shall be made available in the workplaces. Further frequent sanitization of entire workplace shall be ensured.

 Arrangement for the employees for transport facilities shall be ensured with social distancing.

 Large physical meetings to be avoided by the Manufacturers,

 They should open the Unit at their usual permitted time and must close by 6.00 PM to enable the employer and employees reach home by 7.00 PM.

 Use of ‘Arogya Setu App’ shall be made mandatory for all employees. 

The guidelines and relevant orders prescribed by the Ministry of Home Affairs must be strictly adhered to.
