Government of Karnataka clarifies on operation of industries and shops in various districts during lockdown

The State Government of Karnataka on April 28, 2020, clarifies on operation of industries and shops in various districts during lockdown.

 However, the following additional activities are permitted in the districts of Chamarajanagar, Koppal, Chiknagaluru, Raichur, Chitradurga, Ramanagara, Hassan, Shivamogga, Haveri, Yadgiri, Kolar, Davanagere, Udupi and Kodagu:

i. Industries operating in rural areas, i.e., outside the limits of municipal corporations and municipalities (Except in Ramanagara dstrict).

ii. Manufacturing and other establishments operating in Special Economic Zone (SEZs), Export Oriented Units (EOUs), Industrial Estates, Industrial Townships. These establishments will follow the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).

iii. shops outside the limits on municipal corporations and municipalities (Other than malls, market complex): 50% strength of workers with wearing of masks and social distancing 

iv. Shops within the limits of municipal corporations and municipalities (Other than malls, market complex): 50% strength of workers with wearing of masks and social distancing.

 Restrictions will continue in below mentioned districts:

Bengaluru Urban, Belagavi, Mysuru, Vijaypura, Bagalkot, Kalburgi, Bidar and Dakshina, Kannada

 Some districts required permission for operation from district in charge minister:

Bellary, Mandya, Bengaluru Rural, Gadag, Tumkuru, Chickkaballapur, Uttar Kannada, Dharwad.
