Government of Nagaland permits certain activity during lockdown

The State Government of Nagaland on April 23, 2020 has decided to permit certain activities during the period of lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic. 

The following activities are allowed:-

 Food processing industries in rural areas.

 Industries operating in rural areas including stone crushers, saw mills, brick kilns in rural areas.

 Collecting, harvesting and processing of Minor Forest Produce (MFP) or Non-Timber Forest Produce (NTFP) by scheduled tribes and other forest dwellers in forest areas.

 Bamboo, coconut, areca nut, cocoa, species plantation and their harvesting, processing, packaging, sale and marketing.

 Construction activities in rural areas like water supply and sanitation; power transmission lines etc.

 Research establishments dealing with agriculture and horticulture activities.

 Inter and intra state movement of planting materials

 Shops for educational books for students, electric fans, recharge facilities for prepaid mobile connection.

 Food processing units such as bread factories, milk processing plants, flour mills, dal mills atc located in urban areas.
