Haryana Excise and Taxation Department notifies the Punjab Brewery (Haryana Amendment) Rules, 2020

The Haryana Excise and Taxation Department on April 01, 2020, notifies the Punjab Brewery (Haryana Amendment) Rules, 2020, to further amend the Punjab Brewery Rules, 1956.

Under Rule 5 which criteria for obtaining the license, clause (c) has been substituted, namely:

Present Clause:

The letter of intent for the establishment of brewery project shall be granted subject to payment of Rs.5000/- and every extension allowed thereafter shall be subject to payment of Rs.1000/- each.

Revised Clause:

A letter of intent shall be obtained by the applicant for setting up a Brewery in the State of Haryana before he starts putting up his plant. The letter of intent shall be issued with certain terms and conditions with a specified period of validity. It shall be issued with the permission of Government. Fee for letter of intent shall be rupees forty lac fee for the first time and for subsequent year(s).

The fee for revalidation of letter of intent for setting up winery shall be 110% of the previous year’s fee
