Government of Chhattisgarh issues directions to employers for the safety, wages and other facilities of the employees

The State Government of Chhattisgarh on March 21, 2020, issued directions to employers to provide safety, wages and other facilities to the employees during lockdown dur to COVID-19 outbreak.

The directions are as under:

 Provide leave to the subordinate workers / employees / labourers etc according to their convenience and if necessary, give work from home facility.

 If any employee /workman or labouer etc., is suffering from this disease, give him full support and if required paid leave should be given.

 If the family member of an employee / worker / laborer etc. is suffering from this disease, then the worker should be provided paid leave as per the requirement for the support / treatment of their family member.

 If at this time any employee / worker / laborer etc. is ill due to other reasons or their family member is ill, then in such a situation they should be given paid leave and other benefits.

 In the present situation, the services of any employee / worker / worker etc. working in your institution should not be terminated / laid off / service break, nor should there be any deduction in the salary or payables of any employee / workman / worker etc

 In the present extraordinary situation if any institute / factory / establishment, due to change / postponement of its normal activity / program / work (eg, surgical-non-surgical work in hospital / nursing home) any employee / worker / Workers etc. will neither be removed nor salary allowances etc. will be deducted.

 social and economic protection should be provided to employees / workers / workers etc. and their family members in accordance with various labor laws.
