Government of Chhattisgarh issues Standard Operating Procedure for migrant workers

The State Government of Chhattisgarh on April 20, 2020, issues Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the migrant workers of industry, agriculture, construction and other works leaving in the shelter site / Relief Camp.

The SOP are as follows:

 By identifying / marking the work skills of migrant workers residing in the shelter site / Relief Camp the local district administration will provide suitable work. 

 The migrant workers will be allowed to go to other places within the state only after getting health test.

 The movement of migrant workers to the workplace can be within the district / inter-district i.e., within the state of Chhattisgarh and not outside the state. 

 Ensure adherence of the guidelines regarding social distancing for the movement of workers, sanitation and other actions issued by the Health Department.

 During the journey through vehicle, the local administration should make arrangements for nutritious food and clean drinking water for the workers.
