The State Government of Madhya Pradesh issues guidelines for the employers and managers of closed factories, shops and commercial institutions due to COVID-19 pandemic.

The Guidelines are as under:

Ø  Due to absence of any worker due to outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, employees service termination / retrenchment / service break etc. will not be done.

Ø  No deduction will be made in the salaries or other payable statutory rights of the workers employed during the period of closure of the factory, shop or commercial institution

Ø  If any worker is on leave during this period and is not able to appear on duty, then in such circumstances, he will be allowed paid leave.

Ø  In factories, shops and commercial institutions where the services of workers are essential for the supply of essential services and goods due to unavoidable reasons such as food manufacturing, food processing, pharmaceutical / pharma manufacturing, mask and sanitizer manufacturing and hospital, medicine Medical Equipment Shop, Petrol, Diesel, Gas Pump, Food and General Daily Use Supplies, Home Parcels / Tiffins etc. If necessary, all the necessary safety equipment and measures like masks, hand gloves, soap and sanitizer etc. will be provided to the workers, and worker will be provided free medical checkup and treatment immediately after getting sick.
