Animal Husbandry Directorate of Jammu and Kashmir introduces provision of tele-medical facilities to Livestock Farmers

The Directorate of Animal Husbandry of Jammu and Kashmir on April 16, 2020, has decided to provide telemedicine facilities to Livestock Farmers or Animal Owners in order to prevent unnecessary hospital visits by farmers and animal owners during the period of COVID-19 lockdown.

The doctors to be called for obtaining veterinary-medical advice for any issues or concern regarding to animals. The list of designated doctors for providing telemedicine facilities in blocks and districts are available in the website. All doctors should follow all the necessary guidelines for handling of veterinary complaints or issues raised over phone and instructions issued by Government. The number of calls attended and disposed must be recorded by doctors and report the same to their Controlling officers and District Officers who shall forward the same to Directorate of Animal Husbandry on weekly basis.
