Government of Tripura issues advisories for Factory Managements during the period of lockdown

The State Government of Tripura on March 31, 2020, has issues the advisories for Factory Managements to deal with the nationwide lockdown situation due to outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic.

The Factory Management have to maintain the following advisories:- 

1. Any worker suffering from fever, cough, sneezing, problem in breathing etc., the Factory Management should immediately contact the State Helpline 0381-2315879 to report the same without any delay. 

2. The services of the workmen not to be terminated during lockdown period in force and should be treated as on duty. 

3. No worker should be forced to go on leave without wage or salaries. 

4. Absent from duty during said lockdown period or for any illness, the normal wage is to be paid to the workmen for such absent period.

5. As protective measures to resist the spread of Corona Virus, safe methods for safety precautions published by the Factories & Boilers Organisation in the local dailies on March 24, 2020 are strictly to be followed. 

6. Comprehensive and periodical medical checkup of all workers of the factories to be carried out as per the Factories Act, 1948 & Rules made thereunder. 

7. Free and comprehensive medical treatment to be provided to all workmen found to be suffering from an occupational disease, ailment or accident until cured. 

8. Compensation to be paid to the workmen surrendering the service from any occupational disease, ailment or accident in accordance with the provisions of the Workmen's (Employee's) Compensation Act, 1923.
