CBIC exempts customs duty on ventilators, personal protection equipments, covid-19 testing kits and inputs for these goods

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) on April 09, 2020, exempts customs duty on ventilators, personal protection equipments, covid-19 testing kits and inputs for these goods.

The description of the goods which are exempted from the customs duty, are as under:

Inputs for manufacture of items at S. Nos. 1 to 4 above,subject to the condition that the importer follows the procedure set out in the Customs (Import of Goods at Concessional Rate of Duty) Rules, 2017.

This notification will remain in force upto and inclusive of September 30, 2020.
