Government of Madhya Pradesh issues Guidelines for factories

The Madhya Pradesh Labour Department on March 18, 2020, has issued guidelines for factories to prevent spread of COVID-19.

The following information should be given to the workers of the factories to prevent the spread of COVID-19:

Ø  Wash hands with soap / sanitizer regularly several times a day

Ø  Do not touch your mouth, eyes, nose and ears without washing hands

Ø  Avoid contact with eyes or nose after exposure to affected materials.

Ø  Follow social distancing in work place to avoid direct contact with fellow colleagues.

Ø  In case of signs of illness, contact the nearest government hospital. 

Ø  Ensure use of standard level masks to prevent infection of the disease

Ø  Separate special arrangements should be made for the prevention of disease for children below the age of 6 years of women employed in factories

Ø  In the factories where creche has been arranged, it should be ensured that soap washing / sanitizer is provided at the creche site.

The factories in which the Medical Officer is appointed should keep a constant watch in this regard. Workers should be regularly informed about the information and measures issued by the District Administration and Health Department from time to time to prevent this disease.
