DGFT specifies the modalities for import of 4 Lakh MT Urad for the fiscal year 2020-2021

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on March 19, 2020, has specified the modalities for import of 4 Lakh MT Urad for the fiscal year 2020-2021.

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry vide Notification dated March 17, 2020 has allowed import of Urad to an annual quota of 04 Lakh MT during the fiscal yea 2020-21. Further, the Policy Condition in the Notification lays down that the import shall be allowed only to the Millers or Refiners as per procedure to be notified by DGFT.

Accordingly, applications are invited online from the intending millers or refiners (having own refining or processing capacity) of pulses or peas for its import as per ANF-2M of Foreign Trade Policy 2015-2020 to DGFT. The applicant may visit the following link: https://dgftebrc.nic.in:8090/NEGLIST/isp/Login. Applicants shall attached all the corresponding documents in the online application only. Only one application against one IEC will be considered.

The applications will be received between March 20, 2020 to April 03, 2020. The annual quota of Urad for the year 2020-21 is 4 Lakh MT and will be effective from May 01, 2020 to March 31, 2021. Accordingly, successful applicants will have to ensure that the import consignment of Urad reaches the Indian ports on or before March 31, 2021.
