BIS notifies Indian Standards of Low Voltage Fuses

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on February 18, 2020, has established the Indian Standards of “IS/IEC 60269-2 : 2016 Low Voltage Fuses Part 2 Supplementary Requirements for Fuses for Use by Authorized Persons (Fuses for Use by Authorized Persons (Fuses Mainly for Industrial Application) ─ Example of Standardized Systems of Fuses A to K” which shall come into effect from February 13, 2020 under the provisions of the Bureau of Indian Standards Rules, 2018.

BIS has also notified that the Indian Standards of “IS 13703 (Part 2/Sec 1) : 1993/IEC Pub 269-2 : 1986 Specification for Low Voltage Fuses for Voltage not Exceeding 1 000 V AC or 1 500 V DC Part 2 Fuses for Use by Authorized Persons Section 1 Supplementary Requirements” and “IS 13703 (Part 2/Sec 2) : 1993/IEC Pub 269-2-1 : 1987 Low Voltage Fuses for Voltage not Exceeding 1 000 V AC or 1 500 V DC ─ Specification Part 2 Fuses for use by Authorized Persons Section 2 Examples of Standardized Fuses” shall remain in force concurrently and will get cancelled on February 12, 2021.
