DGS proposes to introduce the Online lntegration of Casualty reporting system

The Directorate General of Shipping (DGS) on March 03, 2020 proposes to introduce online shipping related casualty Information system to facilitate online reporting of any marine casualty.

However, DGS vide MS Notice dated April 09, 2009, mandated the reporting of any marine casualty or when a ship is overdue, or defect discovered affecting the safety of the ship to the DG Commcentre. This information being provided by shipping companies to DG Commcentre has been by email with attachments. To facilitate online reporting the DGS has introduced online shipping related casually Information system.

All incidents of casualties need to be uploaded on the web-site. The revised email ID’s are [email protected] and telephone numbers are # +91-22-22614646, +91-22-22610606 Fax # +91-22-22613636.

DG Commcentre’s online marine casually reporting module can be accessed through the D.G. Shipping portal from the link - online casualty reporting and follow the guidelines of reporting requirements in the event of marine accident or incident.

The Stakeholders are requested to furnished the comments or suggestion through e-mail at [email protected] on or before March 06, 2020.
