DGFT allows export of all varieties of Onions free with effect from March 15, 2020

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on Mach 02, 2020, allows the export of all varieties of Onions without any condition of Letter of Credit (LC) and Minimum Export Price (MEP), with effect from March 15, 2020.

Further, DGFT withdraws the Notification No. 46/2015-2020 dated February 06, 2020, related to export of Krishnapuram Onions with effect from March 15, 2020.

The amendment in Export Policy of Onion for the item description at Serial Number 51 and 52 of Chapter 7 of Schedule 2 of ITC (HS) Classification of Export and Import items are as under:
