DGFT amends the Export Policy of Personal Protection Equipment or Masks

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on February 25, 2020, amends the Notification No. 47 dated February 08, 2020 related to export of Personal Protection Equipment and Masks:

All Personal Protection Equipment including clothing and Masks [Coveralls (Class 2/3/4) and N-95 Masks]. However, the following items are freely exportable:

1.       Surgical Masks/Disposable Masks (2/3 Ply)

2.       All Gloves except NBR Gloves.

3.       All Ophthalmic instruments and appliances

4.       Surgical Blades

5.       Non-Woven Shoe covers (Disposable)

6.       Breathing appliances used by Airmen, Divers, mountaineers or Firemen

7.       Gas Masks with chemical absorbent for filtration against poisonous vapour, smoke, gases

8.       HDPE Tarpaulin or Plastic Tarpaulin

9.       PVC conveyor belt

10.   Biopsy Punch

Prohibited

 

However, export of all other Personal Protection Equipment including N-95 masks or other items not specified in the exceptions above, will remain Prohibited.
