MNRE amends the Approved Models and Manufacturers of Solar Photovoltaic Modules (Requirement for Compulsory Registration) Order, 2019

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) on February 06, 2020, has decided to modify the Approved Models and Manufacturers of Solar Photovoltaic Modules (Requirement for Compulsory Registration) Order, 2019. 

The followings are the amendments made under the Para 3 of the Approved Models and Manufacturers of Solar Photovoltaic Modules (Requirement for Compulsory Registration) Order, 2019 related to “Application fee”:

 The application fee for one model of module shall be Rs. 5,000/- per MW of the total installed manufacturing capacity for solar PV modules and cells of the applicant. However, as a measure of further facilitation to small manufacturers having total installed manufacturing capacity less than or equal to 50 MW, the application fee for one model of module will be Rs. 2,500/- per MW of the total installed manufacturing capacity for solar PV modules of the applicant. 

 The application fee for a 50 MW manufacturing capacity would be Rs. 127500/-
