The State Government of Kerala on January 19, 2020, proposes to revise the minimum rates of wages for the classes of employees employed in the Diamond Cutting and Polishing Sector.

In addition to the basic rate of wages, all the employees shall be eligible for Dearness Allowance. Wherever the employees are in receipt of higher wages than the minimum wages fixed as per this notification, such higher wages shall be continued.

The proposal will be taken up for consideration on or after two months from the date of publication of the notification in the Official Gazette and that the objections and suggestions, if any, that may be received from any persons with respect to the said proposals on or before the specified above, will be considered by the Government.
