Haryana Government exempts all persons generating energy from the payment of whole of the electricity duty

The State Government of Haryana on January 07, 2020, has exempted all persons covered under section 3(2)(b) of the Punjab Electricity (Duty) Act, 1958, from the payment of whole of the electricity duty for a period of two years i.e. from April 01, 2018 to March 31, 2020.

Section 3(2)(b) specifies a person generating energy for his own ul e or consumption on the energy used or consumed by him in a month.

Therefore, State Government of Haryana exempts a person generating energy for his own use or consumption on the energy used or consumed by him in a month from payment of whole of the electricity duty for a period of two years i.e. from April 01, 2018 to March 31, 2020.
