DGFT amends the Export Policy for Rice (Basmati and Non-Basmati)

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on January 09, 2019, has amended the policy condition at Sl. No. 55 and 57, Schedule 2 of ITC (HS) Export Policy, 2018 for export of rice (Basmati and Non-Basmati).

For amendment, DGFT amends the Notification No. 29/2015-2020 dated November 04, 2019 to the extent that export of Rice (Basmati and Non-Basmati) to EU member States and Other European countries namely Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland only will require Certificate of Inspection from Export Inspection Agency (EIA) or Export Inspection Council (EIC). Export to remaining European countries (except Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland) will require Certificate of Inspection by EIC or EIA for export from July 01, 2020.
