The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare on December 23, 2019, issues the draft Spices Grading and Marking (Amendment) Rules, 2019. 

The followings are the amendments made under the Spices Grading and Marking Rules, 2012 and 2018:-

• These Rules shall apply to white pepper whole and powdered.

• A new Schedule – XLI has been inserted, namely, "Grade designation and quality of White Pepper (Whole)".

All persons likely to be affected thereby in respect of the said draft rules are invited for objections or suggestions, if any, within the forty-five days from the date on which the copies of the Gazette of India containing this notification are made available to the public. The objections or suggestions, if any, may be sent to the Agricultural Marketing Adviser to the Government of India, Directorate of Marketing and Inspection, Head Office, CGO Complex, NH - IV, Faridabad (Haryana) 121001, who shall forward the same to the Central Government for consideration.
