The Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (APERC) on December 19, 2019, has published the Draft Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (Conduct of Business) Fifth Amendment Regulation, 2019, to further amend the Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (Conduct of Business) Regulations, 1999 and to notify its working days for a calendar year in advance and publish the same so that all the stakeholders are informed beforehand.

Clause 3(2) which specifies the days on which in a week and the timings at which the headquarters and other offices of the Commission shall remain open for conducting its business, has been substituted, namely:

The Commission shall fix the annual calendar denoting the working days and holidays and shall host the same on its website at or before the commencement of each calendar year.

Provided however that till such time as the annual calendar for the year 2020 is notified, the Commission shall follow the calendar of the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

This Regulation will come into force with effect from the date of its publication in the official gazette.

APERC invites views or objections or suggestions of interested persons or stakeholders in respect of the above-mentioned amendment.  The same may be sent to the Secretary, APERC on or before December 29, 2019 at the above-mentioned address or through email to [email protected].
