The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) on December 02, 2019, has requested all the technical institutions recognized or approved by AICTE to adhere or implement the provisions prescribed under All India Council for Technical Education (Redressal of Grievance of Students) Regulations, 2019. AICTE has framed the All India Council for Technical Education (Redressal of Grievance of Students) Regulations, 2019, which is published in the Official Gazette of India to provide opportunities for redressal of certain grievances of students already enrolled in any institution, as well as those seeking admission to such institutions, and a mechanism thereto. 

The above-mentioned Regulations specify the followings:-

1. Every technical institution must publish or upload a prospectus, its contents and pricing on its website, before expiry of at least 60 days prior to the date of the commencement of the admission to any of its courses or programs of study.

2. Every AICTE approved institution shall constitute Student Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC), where a complaint from an aggrieved student relating to the institution shall be registered. The complaint shall be addressed to the Chairperson, Student Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC).

3. Any student aggrieved by the decision of the Student Grievance Redressal Committee may prefer an appeal to the Ombudsperson, within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of such decision. The Ombudsperson shall hear appeals from an aggrieved student(s), only after the student has availed all other remedies provided under these Regulations.
