Government of Kerala revises the minimum rates of wages of employees in Rice mills, Flour mills and Dhal mills

The State Government of Kerala has revised the minimum rates of wages, Dearness Allowance (DA) and the service weightage payable to the workers employed in Rice mills, Flour mills and Dhal mills.

The followings are the categories:

A. BASIC RATE OF WAGES (Monthly): 

1. Skilled workers: 

Mill driver, Sortex machine operator, boiler operator.

2. Semi- skilled workers: 

Hullerman, Sheller Conveyor operator.

3. Unskilled workers: 

Yard workers and attenders in boiling and quelling sections.

4. Office staff: -

Manager, Accountant, Clerk, computer operator, sales assistant, security guard, driver, office attendant/assistant, cleaner/sweeper.

The employees who shall complete not less than three years of continuous service shall be paid the service weightage at the rate of 1% of the revised basic wages.
