Government of Tamil Nadu amends the Tamil Nadu Factories Rules, 1950 to increase the fee for amendment of licence, transfer of licence and loss of licence

The State Government of Tamil Nadu on November 20, 2019 amends the Tamil Nadu Factories Rules, 1950 to increase the fee from fifty rupees to two hundred rupees, for amendment of licence, transfer of licence and loss of licence.

The amended rules are as under:

Ø  Rule 6(3) which specifies the procedure for amendment of licence, namely:

The fee for the amendment of a licence shall be two hundred rupees plus the amount, if any, by which the fee that would have been payable if the licence had originally been issued in the form exceeds the fee originally paid for the licence.

Ø  Rule 8(2) which specifies the procedure for transfer of licence, namely:

Such application for transfer shall be made to the Deputy Chief Inspector of Factories concerned and accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees for each such application.

Ø  Rule 10 which specifies the procedure for obtaining duplicate licence in loss of licence, namely:

Where a licence granted under these rules is lost or accidentally destroyed, a duplicate may be granted by the Deputy Chief Inspector of Factories having jurisdiction over the area on payment of a fee of two hundred rupees.
