Government of Andhra Pradesh declares Public Holidays during the year 2020

The State Government of Andhra Pradesh on December 05, 2019, has declared General Holidays by all the State Government Offices excluding the holidays falling on Sundays and Optional Holidays except the Optional Holidays falling on Sundays during the year 2020.

In addition to the above mentioned General Holidays (Page 3), the State Government employees may avail themselves  of Optional Holidays (Page 5) not exceeding (5) during the year 2020 on festival or occasions (Page 4), at their option and irrespective of the religion to which the festival pertains.

The State Government of Andhra Pradesh also directs that General Holidays will not ipso-facto apply to the Industrial Establishment and Public Undertakings under the control of the State Government, the workmen engaged in Public Works Departments and Educational Institutions in this State.

If there is any change of date in respect of Ramzan, Bakrid, Mohatam and Eid Miladun Nabi as per the sighing of the moon or any other Hindu holiday as well, it will be announced through electronic/ print media.
