Government of Bihar amends the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) (Consent fee) Bihar Rules, 1984

The State Government of Bihar on December 04, 2019, has decided to make amendments in the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) (Consent fee) Bihar Rules, 1984, after consultation with Bihar State Pollution Control Board.

The amendments are made in the Schedule of Rule 3(2) by specifying consent fee for the existing government health care facilities for five years. Also, the comments to the Schedule have been substituted, namely:

1) The capital investment of the Industries specified in the schedule includes all investments, which are made in fixed assets like land, building, plants and machinery. 

2) Application for Consent, without consent fee, as indicated in the aforesaid schedule shall not be accepted by the Board. 

3) ‘Existing Government Health Care Facilities’ means those Health Care Facilities which existed immediately before this Notification. 

4) For Health Care Facilities other than ’Existing Government Health Care Facilities’ Consent fee shall be chargeable at the rate as specified for Industries under category ‘B’ of the schedule of Rule-3, Sub rule(2) of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) (Consent fee) Bihar Rules, 1984 (as amended from time to time). 

5) The consent fee shall be paid online through ‘Online Consent Management and Monitoring System’ portal of the Board using Credit Card or Debit Card or Net banking or RTGS or NEFT of any Bank.

This Notification shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Bihar Official Gazette that is on December 04, 2019.
