The Arunachal Pradesh Maternity Benefit for Contingency, Casual and Contractual Workers Rules, 2019

The State Government of Arunachal Pradesh publishes the Arunachal Pradesh Maternity Benefit for Contingency, Casual and Contractual Workers Rules, 2019 as per the Maternity Benefit Act, 1961 and the Maternity Benefit (Amendment) Act, 2017. 

These Rules specifies the followings:-

1. The employer of every establishment in which women are employed shall prepare and maintain a muster roll in Form A and shall enter particulars of all women workers in the establishment. 

2. The fact that a woman is pregnant or has delivered a child or undergone miscarriage or is suffering from illness arising out of pregnancy, delivery, premature birth of child or miscarriage must be proved by production of certificate from a medical officer or a registered medical practitioner.

3. The woman employed in an establishment is entitled to maternity benefit and the employer shall make payment of the maternity benefit to the women concerned.

4. The Competent Authority shall be responsible for the administration of these Rules.
