Nov 05, 2019 | by Avantis RegTech Legal Research Team

The University Grants Commission (UGC) on November 04, 2019, has taken various initiatives to promote vocational education to increase employability of students. There are large number of colleges and Universities who are offering skill courses with approval from the UGC and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to run skill courses in the academic year 2019-2020.

A successful implementation of the programmes depends on the grant of affiliation by the concerned affiliating Universities. Therefore, UGC have requested to kindly expedite the process of granting affiliation to the colleges so that the institutions can start the courses on time.
