FSSAI issues direction regarding operationalisation of Food Safety and Standards (Food products Standards) Amendment Regulations, 2019

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) on October 29, 2019, have decided to operationalise the Food Safety and Standards (Food products Standards) Amendment Regulations, 2019. FSSAI had framed the draft Food Safety and Standards (Food products Standards) Amendment Regulations, 2019 related to revision of standards of honey with respect to parameters pollen count, specific marker for rice syrup (SMR), trace maker for rice syrup (TMR) and Foreign Oligosaccharides. The comments on the final draft may be received on the date of finalization of these Regulations.
