Removal of Licensing Requirements, Stock Limits and Movement Restrictions on Specified Foodstuffs (Second Amendment) Order, 2019

The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution on September 29, 2019, has published the Removal of Licensing Requirements, Stock Limits and Movement Restrictions on Specified Foodstuffs (Second Amendment) Order, 2019 to further amend the Removal of Licensing Requirements, Stock Limits and Movement Restrictions on Specified Foodstuffs Order, 2016. It will come into force with immediate effect.

The amendments made in Clause 3(2) of the Removal of Licensing Requirements, Stock Limits and Movement Restrictions on Specified Foodstuffs Order, 2016, the following item has been inserted namely:-

“(iv) Onion, for a period up to the November 30, 2019” with following stock limits on traders for all the States and Union Territories;

Wholesaler: 50 MT and Retailer: 10MT”
