Government of Tripura amends the Tripura Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Rules, 1978 for ease of compliance

The State Government of Tripura on September 13, 2019, has published the Tripura Ease of Compliance to Maintain Registers under various Labour Laws Rules, 2019, to further amend the Tripura Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Rules, 1978.

These Rules is for the ease of and for the expedient compliance of the requirement of various labour related laws and for the purpose of maintaining combined registers for all such laws.

Whereas, combined register under the rules will facilitate ease of compliance, maintenance and inspection, and will also make the information easily accessible to the public through electronic means thereby increasing transparency.

The following amendments in the Tripura Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Rules, 1978 are as under:

Ø  Under Rule 64 which specifies the register of workmen employed, form XIII has been substituted with Form A-Format of Employee Register, of the Tripura Ease of Compliance to Maintain Registers under various Labour Laws Rules, 2019.

Ø  Under Rule 67(2) which talks about the Muster roll, Wages Registers, Deduction Register and Overtime Register:

Form XX, Form XXI, Form XXII, Form XXIII has been substituted with Form B-Format for wage register and Form C-Format of register of loan or recoveries of the Tripura Ease of Compliance to Maintain Registers under various Labour Laws Rules, 2019.

Ø  Form XIII, Form XVI, Form XVII, Form XX, Form XXI, Form XXII and Form XXIII has been omitted.
