The Central Drugs Standards Control Organization (CDSCO) on September 13, 2019 issues Notice requesting all beneficiaries (stakeholders, importers, exporters, custom house brokers) transacting with customs for cosmetics to furnish the details of IEC and GSTN code. The CDSCO had outlined the procedure for registration of beneficiaries on ICEGATE and uploading of Licenses or Permits or Certificates and other Authorizations (LPCOs) by Participating Government Agencies (PGA) on e-SANCHIT on its Notice dated January 29, 2019. The registration of the beneficiaries on ICEGATE is the pre requisite condition where the PGAs will link the LPCOs to the registered beneficiaries IEC/GSTN and email id. After registration, an unique Image Reference Number (IRN) would be communicated to the beneficiary which will help to link the LCPO with the bill of entry or shipping bill for customs clearance.

Therefore, all the beneficiaries transacting with customs for cosmetics are requested to furnish details of IEC/GSTN code along with email id registered with ICEGATE portal and contact details of concerned person to CDSCO office at the email id: [email protected].
