Government of Madhya Pradesh amends the Madhya Pradesh Minor Minerals Rules, 1996

The State Government of Madhya Pradesh on September 20, 2019, has made amendment in the Madhya Pradesh Minor Mineral Rules, 1996.

The amendment in the Rule 68 of the Madhya Pradesh Minor Mineral Rules, 1996 which specifies the procedure how Collector or Additional Collector grants permission for removal of minor minerals for Central and State Governments and their undertakings, namely:

In sub-rule (3), after the first proviso the second proviso has been inserted:

It states that the State Government may also grant exemption from royalty on ordinary clay and murrum used in road or other construction works in the State to any department or organization/undertaking of the Central Government by issuing an order.
