Government of Karnataka revises the minimum rates of wages and VDA for the employment in AYUSH

The State Government of Karnataka has revised the minimum rates of wages and Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA) for the employment in Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Sidda, Homeopathy, (AYUSH), allopathy and any other legally recognized systems of medicines (including production, publicity, distribution and advertising) with effect from April 01 to March 03, 2020.

The minimum rates of wages have been revised for certain class of employment:

1. Highly Skilled Labours: Quality Control Chemist, Production in-charge, Supervisor.

2. Skilled Labours: Pharmacists, chemists, boiling founding and cutting, machinist, electrician, machine operator, operators, welder, drug manufacturer and other skilled labourer.

3. Semi-Skilled Labours: Assistant Pharmacist, lab assistant, store in charge, assistant electrician, Salesman and other semi-skilled labourer.

4. Unskilled Labours: filling and sealing, strayer, cutting, machine helper or helper, labelling, packer, Assistant, mazdoors, cleaner, sweeper and other unskilled labourer.

5. Lorry/car/jeep drivers and cleaner

6. Office staff:

 Manager / Personal officer,

 Assistant Manager / Assistant Personal Manager, 

 Accountant

 Senior clerk, cashier, booking clerk

 stenographer, computer operator,

 Store keeper, telephone operator, receptionist

 Typist, data entry operator

 Clerk, Junior clerk

 Watchman, security guard

 Office boy, sweeper, attender

In addition to the basic wages, all category of employees in the state will be paid V.D.A at the rate of 4 paisa per point over and above 6205 points.
