Government of Karnataka revises the minimum rates of wages and VDA for the employment in oil mills

The State Government of Karnataka has revised the minimum rates of wages and Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA) for the employment in oil mills with effect from April 01 to March 03, 2020.

The minimum rates of wages have been revised for certain class of employment:

1. Skilled workers-A: Supervisor, Technical Supervisor

2. Skilled workers-B: Engine driver, plumber (mechanic), boiler attender, solderer, tin maker, expeller driver, operator, carpenter

3. Semi-Skilled Workers: Oilers, Apprentices for skilled categories

4. Unskilled Workers: helper, watchman and care taker, hamalis, labour Dicorticator, carriers, sweeping the floor for expellers.

5. Lorry/car/jeep drivers and cleaner

6. Office staff:

 Manager / Personal officer,

 Assistant Manager / Assistant Personal Manager, 

 Accountant

 Senior clerk, cashier, 

 stenographer, computer operator,

 Store keeper, telephone helper

 Typist, data entry operator

 Clerk, Junior clerk

 Office boy, peon, watchman, sweeper attender

In addition to the basic wages, all category of employees in the state will be paid V.D.A at the rate of 4 paisa per point over and above 6205 points.
