The Employees’ State Insurance (Central) Amendment Rules, 2019

The Ministry of Labour and Employment (MoLE) on August 26, 2019, after consultation with the Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), has published the Employees’ State Insurance (Central) Amendment Rules, 2019 to further amend the Employees' State Insurance (Central) Rules, 1950. It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette that is August 26, 2019. 

The amendment is made in Rule 61A of the Employees' State Insurance (Central) Rules, 1950, specifying the limit of income of dependent parents for eligibility to medical benefit from all sources should not exceed nine thousand rupees in a month.
