Government of Karnataka revises minimum rates of wages and VDA for the employment in Electronics and Electroplating Enterprises

The State Government of Karnataka has revised the minimum rates of wages and Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA) for the employees employed in Electronics and Electroplating Enterprises from April 01, 2019 to March 31, 2020.

The Categories of Employment for minimum rates of wages per month are as under:

Ø  Highly Skilled: Foreman, Workshop Supervisor, Supervisor

Ø  Skilled: Machine Operator/ Telephone; Die Casting operator; Printing Operator; Printing Operator; Plating Operator/ Press Operator; Buffers; Electroplating Buffers; Mechanic/ Tool Mechanic; Machinist; Chemist; Welder; Fitter; Plater/ Assembler; Die-maker; Moulder; Turner; Miller; Draughtsman; Drilling; Painter; Laboratory Analyst; Polisher

Ø  Semi-Skilled: Plating Co-ordinators; Plating Man; Assistant Machine Operator; Assistant Fitter Winding, Ringing, Fitting, Soldering, mounting, little educated or uneducated

Ø  Unskilled: Assistant; Pack maker; Helper; Attender; Mazdoor; Cleaner; Gardner/ Mali; Sweeper/ Scavenger

Ø  Driver/Cleaner: car/ Jeep Driver; Lorry/Car/Jeep Cleaner

Ø  Office Staff: Manager/ Personal Officer; Assistant Manager/ Assistant Personal manager; Accountant; Cashier/ Senior Clerk; Stenographer/ Computer Operator; Store Keeper Telephone Operator; Typist/ Data Entry Operator; Clerk/ Junior Clerk; Watchman/ Security Guard; Office Boy/ Sweeper/ Attender

VDA: In addition to the basic wages, all Category of Employees in the State shall be paid VDA at the rate of 4 Paise per point over and above 6205 points.
