Government of Karnataka revises the minimum rates of wages and VDA for the employment in rice mills

The State Government of Karnataka has revised the minimum rates of wages and Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA) for the employment in rice mills, dal mills and or other grain mills with effect from April 01 to March 03, 2020.

The minimum rates of wages have been revised for certain class of employment:

1. Highly skilled Workers: Technical Supervisor

2. Skilled workers: Boiler Attendant, engine driver, machinist operator, plant man and other skilled work.

3. Semi- Skilled: oiler or oil man, fireman, fitter roller man, mechanic man, measurer or weigh amn other skilled works

4. Un-Skilled Workers: carier, hamali, loader and stoker, messenger, cleaner, spreader, other categories of unskilled.

5. Office staff and Drivers:

 Manager / Personal officer, Marketing manager / office supervisor and similar post

 Assistant Manager / Assistant Personal Manager, Senior Accountant and similar post

 Senior clerk, cashier, judgment writer, stenographer, store keeper, receptionist, and similar post

 Junior clerk, booking clerk, computer operator, typist, telephone operator, data entry operator and similar post

 Attender, watchman, lift operator, office boy, peon, helper or assistant, dalayat, majdur, sweeper and similar post;

 Heavy vehicle driver, tractor driver, multi axel and earth movers drivers, crane vehicle drivers, road roller and construction of road related vehicle drivers;

 Car driver, jeep driver, light vehicle drivers;

 Tum tum, three wheeler vehicle drivers.

In addition to the basic wages, all category of employees in the state will be paid V.D.A at the rate of 4 paisa per point over and above 6537 points.
