Government of Karnataka revises minimum rates of wages and VDA for the employment in Bakery Industry and Baking Processes

The State Government of Karnataka has revised the minimum rates of wages and Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA) for the employees employed in Bakery Industry and Baking Processes from April 01, 2019 to March 31, 2020.

The Categories of Employment for minimum rates of wages are as under:

Ø  Highly Skilled Workers: Baker Benchman and other highly skilled worker.

Ø  Skilled Workers: Dough Maker, Other skilled work.

Ø  Semi-skilled workers: Assistant Dough Maker and other semi skilled worker.

Ø  Un-skilled Workers: Helper and other unskilled worker.

Ø  Office Staff and Drivers:

a)      Manager/ Personal officer, Marketing Manager/ Office Supervisor and similar

b)      Assistant Manager/ Assistant Personal Manager, Senior Accountant and similar post.

c)       Senior Clerk, Cashier, Judgment writer, Stenographer, Store keeper, Receptionist and similar post.

d)      Junior clerk, Booking Clerk, Computer Operator, Typist, Telephone Operator, Data Entry Operator and similar post.

e)      Attender, Watchman, Lift Operator, Office Boy, Peon, Helper/ Assistant, Dalayat, Majdur, Sweeper and similar post.

f)       Heavy vehicle driver, Tractor driver, Multi Axel and earth movers drivers, Crane vehicle drivers, Road roller and construction of road related vehicle drivers.

g)      Car driver, Jeep driver, Light vehicle drivers

h)      Tum Tum, Three Wheeler Vehicle Drivers.

VDA: In addition to the basic wages, all Category of Employees in the state shall be paid V.D.A. at the rate of 4 Paisa per point over and above 6537 points.
